Setup for the DISH Tailgater Portable HDTV System is easy. The Tailgater 4 will automatically find the satellite locations for your DISH Network programming. When you're done watching, simply power down the Tailgater and receiver, disconnect the cables, and take your system with you. It's portable and lightweight, so it's easy to carry from one outdoor activity to the next.
Compatible with DISH HD Solo receivers (Wally®, ViP®211z, ViP211k or 411). Upper Northeast coverage requires use of the DISH Wally receiver.
Note: The Tailgater only works in the 48 contiguous United States.
International channels are now only broadcasting on satellite 118w and are no longer on the eastern arc. As a result, there are no mobile antennas capable of picking up these channels.

I have been carrying around a dish tailgater 3 and could only use it in a couple places that we go. With this dish tailgater 4 I can get the eastern and the western satellites so I finally was able to watch tv while I was camping!! It worked extremely well with simple setup on top of the king tripod. Very nice combination!! I would recommend buying both of these!!

The tailgator doesn't work unless you have a completely un obstructed view. I would have thought twice about the purchase if I'd known this

Had trouble with reception but thought it was our very tree filled campground. Bought a 50’ HD coax cable from Lowes so we could move it higher and low and behold all the channels came on! Did t even have to reposition.

Works as promised. Point it towards the southern sky (clear unobstructed view) and start watching TV. Use the Dish for My RV satellite finder app to see exactly where the satellites are. Pleased with this purchase.

Set up took more time than others have stated. Once connected worked great. I even moved the tailgater in between two buildings overnight and the next morning my wife turned on the TV and it worked. Was not in an open area or facing south. You cannot use more than 100 feet of coax cable. Price is great, $7 add on to my home Dish bill.

Now that I have bought my Tailgater antenna and the receiver I'm getting all kinds of emails offering me free carrying cases other good things if I make a purchase. What good does that do me?
The initial setup took way longer than I expected but now everything seems to be working okay. Some of your representatives gave me misinformation, such as my needing to get
the extended warranty at the time of purchase I think that's wrong.

Was grateful for help in the activation and thought the tech support person was patient with me and my novice experience with the dish. Am still confused with the clear southern sky thing. Using my I Phone compass, I thought I was dead on it but kept getting "complete signal loss, move dish to another location. I did and finally picked up satellites and everything was well. No trees or obstruction seemed to be in direct path and was wondering does just the southern sky need to be clear or other directions such west or east as far as trees? Any guidance will be appreciated.

KING® now offers an optional extended warranty providing one year additional warranty coverage for both factory parts and factory labor.*
Terms and Conditions of Extended Warranty
Should any trouble develop during the extended warranty period, contact KING. You must contact KING before the warranty period expires. The customer must supply proof of purchase, (such as a dated sales receipt) and serial number when requesting warranty service. If customer cannot supply proof of purchase, warranty period shall start 30 days after date of manufacture.
Only KING will perform Extended Warranty service.
If it is determined that the unit needs to be returned to KING, customer must return complete product, freight prepaid, to: KING, 11200 Hampshire Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55438-2453 If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, KING will repair (Or at its option, replace) without charge.
When returning product, KING will supply an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). This number must be clearly written on the box. Failure to clearly write the RMA number on the box may result in delays in processing claim. Along with product, customer should include in the box: his/her name, address, daytime phone number, proof of purchase, and description of the problem.
This warranty does not cover installation and external wiring. This warranty is not transferable from the original owner. Due to the expanding and changing TV market, KING cannot be held responsible for changes made to satellite services. Software updates to address such issues are not covered under warranty.
This warranty also does not apply where:
The product has been abused, misused, improperly installed, or improperly maintained
Repairs have been made or attempted by others that are not certified by KING to do such repairs
Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear
Alterations have been made to the product
The dome cover has been removed without authorization
Damage has been caused by power washing
Circumstances beyond the control of KING cause the product to no longer operate correctly
Customer is not the original owner
In no event shall KING be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from the sale or use of the product. This disclaimer applies both during and after the term of the warranty.
KING disclaims liability for any implied warranties, including implied warranties of “merchantability” and “fitness for a specific purpose”, after the one year term of this warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
