The DISH Wally® HD Satellite Receiver is the smallest and fastest mobile receiver ever made, with a suite of new features for an enhanced user experience.

The Wally offers full functionality with a smaller footprint and expanded capabilities including the use of built in apps like Netflix (requires Wi-Fi Adapter and wireless connection), as well as other great features. This new smaller design allows for fitting into tight spaces. Included is an RF remote that allows you to freely operate the receiver up to 200 feet away, even through walls and obstructions. Never lose your remote again with the new Remote Finder feature, a chime guides you to the remote's hidden location.

I just purchased the Playmaker and Wally. Super easy to set up, affordable to add to my existing account, and great signal. No more dropped signal when the cellular systems are overloaded at the ball game. Highly recommended

Perfect receiver for our RV. We get all the channels that we get at home. Very easy to set up with the Playmate dish. Fully automatic.

Nice upgrade from 211z. Smaller. Easy setup. Better remote. Probably shout have OTA antennae and Bluetooth built in.

Wally works very well. Only exception is it only has one tuner, which means if you are recording a show, you have to watch same show while recoding it. At minimum, I would like two tuners so I can watch a different channel while recording another.

The new Wally is a big upgrade from the Z211 we have had for years. It was easy to set up. We have not tried it on an RV trip yet. I will let you know more once we have taken a trip. The only thing that is not working completely correct is the voice commands. It will work with some searches, but some searches say there is no results. I know those are known shows that should come up.
needs 2 tuners!

This would be a great receiver if it had the ability to have 2 tuners so the user could record one show and watch another at the same time. In this day and age this receiver should have this!

We received our Wally and mobile Dish. We took it camping where we don't even have cell service and the area was highly wooded and it came right in! No problems with losing our signal and the weather was far from perfect. Love it!

Took us several tries over several days, but now we finally have it working. It wouldn’t work using our satellite input on our RV, so we had to run the wire from the tailgater through a window to the Wally wish is a disappointment.

like having nearly the same remote as at home. Took a long time to set up for the first time. Takes a long time to find and fix on sattelite.

We use the Wally in conjunction with our RV Plan. We have 3 TVs in our motorhome and need only one receiver. Each time we move the receiver does the setup quickly. We love the DishForMyRV Plan.

The unit worked well out of the box, however, local programming took forever due to an issue with the phone personnel. Seemed as though they were having trouble getting the signal to the unit. We waited approximately 2 hrs. to be able to see local channels even though we paid for the local channel package.

I recieved my Wally and connected it that evening. Once connected to to my RV satellite dish I turned the power on and it did all the rest except for me having to call Dish to start my service. Within 30 minutes I was up and running with HD! I am once again a Happy Camper!

I have it in my tour bus and it has yet to let me down. Easy to hook up and activate. The remote buttons are very sensitive to the touch and can be used from a pretty good distance. Dish support is great if you need any assistance!!

I have been with DirectTV for years and still have their system in my home. I purchased DISH receivers for my RV because Direct HD is not available on my Winegard G2. My major complaint is that the on screen instructions for the setup are confusing and simply do not tell you what is going on as the system searches for signal. I would get confirmation of a signal and then it would hang up attempting to download the program guide with a message that this download should take no more than 10 minutes and if it takes longer unplug the receiver and wait another 5 minutes. Actually I unplugged about 6 times before I decided to leave it alone for about an hour and it downloaded. After testing it a couple of times after the successful install, I am sure that it will take much longer than DirectTV to connect when I move from one place to the next. Otherwise the receiver appears to work well once you connect. The other thing I missed because I did not read the fine print in the agreement is that you have to pay a monthly fee of $7 for receiver maintenance for the second receiver even though you purchased the receiver. That's not a big deal, but it was not discussed by the agent when I ordered the device via phone and was a question when I got the invoice.

Ok, I'm coming from the world of cable and high speed internet. I'm surprised that the Wally doesn't have the capability to allow you to view a recorded show while recording a new show. I had TiVo which is miles ahead in capability.
